Be glad you are not related to me, or you would be attending several funerals

I am feeling a bit blue. I have had several funerals since December in my life. My long standing doctor of 33 years (I know I am only 21 but really the doctor aged me) died, a friends son died, two cousins died, and welcome to January where another 3 have died. Jimminy Crickets. I cannot take all this stuff.

Last night while speaking with my favorite Aunt (who really isn't my Aunt, but my Mom's first cousin) she said if I die, you don't have to come up here for the funeral if you are not already here. I rather talk to you weekly and see you when you come up for your visits, not worry about it when I am dead.

Me thinks she is preparing me for something I don't want to face. I sincerely hope I am over-reacting as my favorite Uncle, (who is not really my Uncle, but her husband) would say...

Please no more death ok? I am tired of the sympathy cards and obligitory flowers and such.

Love blogs and blogging

I love to read blogs. I find it very interesting, entertaining and often educational. Sometimes it's just for fun, other times it's for the info. Still nonetheless, I love blogs. I have started to post a few on the left and the right columns of my little ole blog here because that's the kind of girl I am. However, I will clean the mess up soon.

So to the blogs. I love to cook and I love The Pioneer Woman, she has great recipes and great giveaways, but I really just love the blog. I like the photos and the wacky questions she puts out there. Often makes you think...

Today was a good one, which year did you dislike the most in high school. Boy oh boy did it bring me back to my younger wilder days. In 9th grade I was called Juggs. You remember the movie, Mother, Juggs and Speed? Raquel Welch was Juggs, Bill Cosby either Mother or speed I cannot recall.
Boy oh boy does this take me back to 9th grade science with the two science mates I had... One is now a Bank President married to a girl who does not look like Raquel... Interesting turn of events. Insert daydreaming music...

Happy New Year 2009

Happy 2009 and all that jazz. I am in the middle of remodeling so please excuse the dust bunnies that are poking out. I hope 2009 is everything you want it to be and more.

I did not make any resolutions I could not keep, therefore I made NONE. haha.

I am going to cook more, eat less and laugh until it hurts. That is one thing I can certainly do.

Stay tuned the blog is getting ready to rock and roll.

Welcome 2009 Happy New Year

Wow, what a night. The weather cooperated, the people down the street didn't burn me out with fireworks and I am so looking forward to a new beginning. Not sure what that will mean, but I am hopeful and hope everyone has a great 2009.

I started creating and cooking today and I have to say I feel GREAT!!!

Now to just kick this food habit, and I am all set!lol
